It seems that my attempt at creating an eBook failed grandly, but I’m not giving up. Making eBooks is totally new territory for me and I thought the software I used was the answer but, aside from some users not being able to open it (such Mac users), I can’t figure out why the sidebar links aren’t working.
Which leads me to my plea for help. What product do you suggest I use to do this? I want a product that will allow me to have a sidebar similar to what I attempted already. By this I mean I want to give each page a name, not just have it show up as ‘Page One, Page Two,’ etc..
I’m going to do some research on my end but I’m sure that someone reading this will be able to help me with a good suggestion or two (or more).
FYI - If you are able to open the eBook I posted you can still read it, even though the sidebar links aren’t working. Use the ‘Back’ and ‘Next’ buttons found in the upper left part of the toolbar.

I suggest adobe acrobat for all ebooks! It is the most universally available and unbreakable.

Good suggestion, but way out of my league. I should have clarified that I don’t have much to spend on this. Any other thoughts?

Rochelle,
I too was disappointed and almost didn’t open it because it was an exe.
You don’t have to spend ANYTHING on this. Download openoffice, do up your ebook and export it as a PDF file. Job done. Not a penny spent.
Might suite your needs

Lots of ability to structure a sidebar and linking throughout

I think that creating a .pdf is the best way to go. Everyone can open it. I look forward to your ebook. I tried to read it, but couldn’t.
