Add 30 Minute Backlinks Toolbar to Your Site

It is still much too early for me to tell how well the 30 Minute Backlinks method is working but I want to share something I did that I thought of all by myself (I’m so proud!). As you know, I created a toolbar as explained in 30 Minute Backlinks. When I created the toolbar I filled it with links to the most popular categories in my My Little Pony store. It occurred to me that the toolbar may be of interest to those who visit my site. So I decided to add a link to it in my store.

I did this by creating an anchor text for the phrase ‘Download our free ‘My Little Pony’ toolbar. I used a link to the location of the toolbar on Conduit.com’s web site (where I made the toolbar for free). I could have used a link to where the toolbar is located on my web site but I had a good reason to use the download from Conduit. Conduit actually offers statistics, such as how many times the toolbar has been downloaded and how many times users have clicked links in the toolbar.

It was about 24 hours ago that I added toolbar link to my site and I’m pleased to say that the toolbar has been installed by two people. That may not sound like much, but I happen to think that two downloads in one day shows the potential for using the toolbars on our sites.

Think about it. If you use the method described in 30 Minute Backlinks to create toolbars (or any of the four other software tools) for your sites then you have created a toolbar specifically for your niches. The chances of anyone actually looking for toolbars relating to your niches in search engines is probably very small. But by adding them to your sites you have are offering them to people who are already interested in your niches. This is an extremely easy way to get repeat visitors and/or sales. I will be adding toolbars, as well as the other tools I created, to each site I create them for in addition to submitting them to directories.

A brief update on how my toolbars are doing so far in getting backlinks to my site (the reason for watching the 30 Minute Backlinks videos). To date I have made two toolbars. The My Little Pony toolbar was submitted to directories using a program I bought for the sole purpose of submitting PAD files to software directories. The other was just submitted to a single resource, the one where software directories go to find new software to add to their directories.

  • My Little Pony toolbar: Three days after submitting the toolbar I counted 50 unique backlinks in Google (this toolbar will be faster to generate backlinks because I used a program to submit it to over 800 directories)
  • Other toolbar: Two days after submitting toolbar I counted two unique backlinks in Google (this toolbar will be slower to generate backlinks because I submitted it to one place)

  5. Hi Rochelle!

Hope you’re still around. I found your blog really useful and informative. I came across your blog just now and had some questions. Bought 30-minute backlinks recently and it encourages me after reading your blog that I didn’t make a mistake making this purchase. However, I wanted to know whether you used PAD EXPRESS or any other submitter to submit your software.

Plus, how often do you think one should submit software to these huge number of software websites? Don’t you think submitting to 800 websites all at the same time might make Google suspicious and ban your site?

    Help!!

    @yamahaelectricguitars,

Yes, I did use one of the PAD submission tools (I no longer remember which one) but ended up getting a refund for it. I found that it wasn’t necessary. When you submit your PAD to the PAD website (sorry, I don’t remember what it was called), your PAD will be picked up by a good number of PAD directory sites. So, don’t waste your money on a submission tool.

And, yes, Google will wonder why you have hundreds of links all of a sudden. Your site wouldn’t be banned by Google just for this, but they will know what you are doing and give you a lower ranking/search engine result because of it. Not good.

It is much better to let the PAD drip into the PAD directories by submitting it the one time to the PAD website (that I can’t remember the name of…).

    I hope this helps,
    Rochelle

  7. Hi Rochelle,

Thanks for the reply e-mail. I’m sorry about you daughter and the rotisserie almost catching fire. Hope there was no damage. Does you daughter’s allergy have anything to do with spring or seasonal allergies? My son also suffers from Spring allergy. Here, in Italy where I’m living it’s terrible with Cyprus trees. Has to use anti-histamines and spray nebulizer to get out of it.

Actually, I’m a newbie in internet marketing. I have very little clue about WordPress and PhpBay Pro. I have actually bought PhpBay to make Ebay stores and 30 minute backlinks from Michelle to promote them. But I’m really struggling with content and look of my site in order to convert visitors to customers. The stats in my Ebay affiliate account show me that I have lots of impressions and some clicks but zero earnings.

Like I said, I have very little knowledge about WordPress and it is taking me a lot of time getting around it. If and when you have the time when you’re in a better situation, would you mind having a look at my yamahaelectricguitars.com site and letting me know what you think of it?

Thanks a lot! Regards and best wishes for you daughter. Hope she recovers soon from her allergic reaction.

    David,

Sorry for not responding sooner – I only just now saw your comment (problem with my email). No, no damage from the smoking rotisserie (though Ronco doesn’t seem to care about it almost catching fire, but that’s another issue…).

You asked for my opinion on your site, so here goes (please keep in mind these are merely my opinions):

    - It is very busy. It makes it very difficult to understand what the purpose of this site is. Your header is squashed off to the upper left corner. The fact that it is hidden makes it very hard to find, let alone read and “get” what the site is about.
    - There are too many ads. Do you want people to buy guitars? Do you want them to click on Google AdSense ads? Do you want them to go to Amazon?
    - Where are the eBay auctions? To be honest, it took me at least a minute to find them. That’s not good because I knew there were eBay auctions on your site and I couldn’t find them. If I was a visitor, who doesn’t know there are auctions here, there is a good chance I may not find them.
    - Do you want to provide visitors with information or products to purchase? If mostly information is provided, as seems to be on your site, you will attract visitors looking for that information, but not wanting to actually purchase anything. Perhaps that is what is going on in your case.
    - There is no meta description for your site. Your blog is titled, “Best Yamaha Electric Guitar Deals,” yet there are very few deals to be seen. Perhaps you need to refocus the site onto actual guitar deals. And your lack of a meta description could also be part of your problem. When people find your site from search engine searches, most likely they see snippets of sentences from your blog’s Home page, instead of a clear description that explains about what your site it about. I recommend adding a meta description.

My recommendations to you are to figure out what you want your site to be. Informational? If so, then focus on one type of ad to minimize the options people have. Or, do you want it to be an affiliate store? If so, then stop writing informational posts and start focusing on providing products for people to purchase. You said you have phpBay Pro. Use that to add posts that have a bit of information about a specific product, then provide auctions for that product under the short post.

Save the longer information for articles that you submit to article directories to help get traffic. At the end of the articles add a brief description of you, the author, and include a link back to your site.

There is certainly a lot of good information on your site. It just needs to be properly focused so you attract shoppers, not information seekers. I hope this is helpful.

    Osbert,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I don’t have Opera, so I don’t know it looks there, but I did check in IE and see what you mean.

I have no idea how to fix that, so I’m going to leave it as is for now. Maybe when I get tired of this theme I’ll switch to something that will fix the problem.
