First of all, my sincere apologies for not responding to this sooner! Your comment got put in my spam folder and I just now found it.

Your question is valid regarding whether I wrote this post just to get affiliate sales from Market Samurai. No, I didn’t. I was genuinely upset and frustrated, and never imagined that my post would be read by someone at Wordtracker.

The honest truth is that I never took them up on their offer, simply because I no longer had the time to do so. It may very well be a wonderful tool. I welcome any input from people who have used it.

I just read your post and FYI I own Market Samurai and love it. I am however intrigued by the Word Tracker product because I am a big fan of Dan Thies — from http://www.seofaststart.com as he endorses the product in his book.

Now while I feel your pain in relation to the initial support problems (haven’t we all had those) what I do what to know is did you take up the offer for a fee look at Word Tracker from Mal above (to provide a fair comparison) and if so what is your opinion of the product now ?

Or is this a post like many out there that complain about a product by picking on a one bad experience just to highlight the benefits of another to benefit from directing people through an affiliate link….not saying it is by the way just curious cause there is a lot of crap out there which I am sure you can appreciate.

Don’t get me wrong I love Market Samurai but I wold like an impartial view of the product is all. No problem if you can’t answer my question just curious is all.

You can set up to show only costumes from companies you are affiliated with by going to Settings / CJ Wizard.

Scroll down to the bottom, to the very last option: “Limit By Advertiser ID:”

Enter the Advertiser ID for each company you are affiliated with in the open area (to the left of the drop-down menu). I have just one entry here, for BuyCostumes, since they are the only costume company I promote. You can add as many as you want, then save your changes.

Now, when you enter a keyword or phrase, you should only see the companies you are promoting.

I just recently purchased Ben’s plugin. I watched your video’s and it was a great help with setting it up.

However, in my global settings I have it set to pull costumes only through BuyCostumes – but when I put in my keywords in an actual post I am getting costumes from all of the merchants I am affiliated with, which is fine…but how do I know if I am still going to get my commission if it pulls from these other merchants? Is there a way to check? When I click on a Buy Costumes link (to check it out) I can clearly see my PID, but on any of the others I cannot (or maybe I don’t know how) to verify that it is an affiliate link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again for your video tutorials,

Just wanted to jump in here with regard to SKU’s. I’ve always got the right product for an SKU but it is possible that another SKU exists by mistake leading to an irrelevant product showing up. Usually though this shouldn’t be the case.

Check page 25 of the user manual as there is an image there which shows you how to identify the SKU. Another thing to check for is that you have no whitespaces directly following your SKU when you input it into the CJ Wizard widget or shortcode.

If you’re still having problems please send me the SKU to my support desk along with a link to the product you’re trying to display and I will debug it and see what’s going on.
