Don’t Miss Out on any ACRUs

I just checked my eBay affiliate stats in my EPN account and was happy to see that I earned a $25 new registration commissions, also known as ACRU. This was an exciting discovery, as it always is when I get that extra $25, but it also reminded me that I’ve been wanting to write this very post. So, here it is.

Have you converted all your niche stores from Commission Junction (CJ) to eBay’s EPN yet? If not, then you may want to do so asap. Why? Because you only have until the end of this month to earn them through CJ if you are still using their affiliate cookies. Once June rolls around any ACRUs you might have earned with that 30 day cookie will not go to you.

Let’s say your niche store is still a CJ store. You get a visitor to your site today who is new to eBay and registers with your affiliate cookie. But, for whatever reason, this person is slow to actually make a bid on eBay. In fact, this person waits until June 2nd to make his first bid. Your 30 day cookie will still be valid because it has been less than 30 days since this person registered. BUT eBay will stop honoring CJ ACRUs that are earned after the end of May.

eBay’s actual wording on this is, "Note that because of our contractual obligations, as of May 31st, you will no longer be able to receive any commissions through Commission Junction. This will include commissions from clicks in May that convert into purchases or ACRUs in June."

Just wanted to let you know so you don’t lose out on any $25 commissions.
