Well, writing an eBook has had a bigger learning curve than I expected! I apologize for my gaff on the previous version of this eBook. I’ve replaced the .exe version with a .pdf version.
What I ended up doing was creating a PDF using Microsoft Word 2007. Turned out to be really simple to do. But, I don’t know how it will work on your end, so please give me feedback. I’d really like to know if this works for both Windows and Mac users, so specify what platform you use. If this works, I’ll continue to create eBooks this way in the future.

I downloaded the new file and it’s the same as the old one. Doesn’t appear to be a PDF, and I can only view the home page.
Gust,
The content of the zipped file is definately .pdf (I just checked to make sure). It sounds like you need to refresh your browser. If needed, try clearing your cache. Let me know if refreshing works for you.

Hi Rochelle
I’ve just downloaded your .pdf eBook without any problems. I’m looking forward to reading it; I’ve just had a quick click around and your links seem to be working fine.
Thank you so much for sharing this information.
Denise
Worked perfectly on my Mac
Thanks again, Rochelle

HI,
I downloaded your PDF file and it works fine, but then I didn’t have a problem with the .exe file either.

Excellent start to a great career as a writer. Short, simple, and to the point.

Nice job! What’s the plan for the ebook, are you giving it away as part of a squeeze page strategy?

Phil,
Yesterday and downloaded and installed quite a few programs and this was one of them. It looks great from the website but it was ridiculously confusing to use, so I gave up on it. It may be exactly what I was looking for but if I can’t figure a program out within 10 minutes or so I stop trying.
Thank you for the suggestion, though.
Assuming there are no problems with the pdf I created here then I’ll continue to create them with Microsoft Word. I would prefer to name the pages instead of having them display as “Page 1, Page 2,” and so on, but I can live with it.

Great route going for the pdf version. I hate exe ebooks. Small question for ya, did Michelle recommend doing the exe?

Alice,
Since I don’t even know what a squeeze page strategy is or how to do it, I think I can say that’s not my intention.
The purpose of my giving this away is to show people what an ebook from me is like. I suppose it’s a ‘try it before you buy it’ kind of thing, since I plan on selling some of the ebooks I’ll write. Does that make sense?

This is awesome Rochelle -thank you very much for sharing – setup and readability is great!
Hey Rochelle
Thanks very much for the pdf version of the ebook – I just finished it and it has some great tips and stuff I hadn’t thought of – imagine that! I’m looking forward to implementing it on my niche store sites.

No, Michelle had nothing to do with the ebook. I have a program I purchased a while ago that creates ebooks, but it seems to have a few glitches in it these days. Plus, it never occured to me that some people wouldn’t be able to use an .exe file, or that this would cause safety concerns (very valid concerns, I might add).
