Guest Blogger Wanted – Squidoo

Earlier today I was reading a post by Lionmom on her blog.  She wrote about how Squidoo has been a good method for bringing traffic to her niche stores.  This got me thinking about how I do not know how to use Squidoo, but I am aware it is a popular traffic-generating source.

So, I am offering this invitation for a guest blogger (including Lionmom, if she is so included) to write about how to use Squidoo to generate traffic.  What I would like is specific information on how to use Squidoo.

If you are interested you can either post your interest below or send me a private e-mail using my ‘Contact Me‘ form.

    Hi Rochelle,

Glad to see you’re back. I’ve learned so much about Squidoo from two people who I consider the queens of Squidoo. They are Potpiegirl, Jennifer Ledbetter and WriterTiff, Tiffany Dow.

If you spend just one week or two reading their blogs respectively, you’ll be up to speed and funneling traffic to all of your online projects in no time.

Trust me, you’ll be in great hands with the knowledge they freely share on their blogs.

    Cheers!

    Sunshine,

Thank you so much for these resources. I’ve been looking at potpiegirl.com and agree that there is great material there. Soon I will look at the other site. Wow, there is a lot more to Squidoo lenses than I ever guessed!

  3. I have learned a lot about Squidoo from Captain Squid (http://www.captainsquid.com/) — both from his blog and from his Squidoo chat room, which is a great place to talk Squidoo and ask questions. You can also get some great Squidoo tips from Thefluffanutta’s blog (http://squidutils.com/blog/).

    Hi Rochele,

Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you sooner. It has been a little crazy here.
Yes, I would be happy to write something about Squidoo. However, I am not doing anything very complicated and my results are modest but help. Let me know how I can help.

I love Squidoo and it does send me more traffic to my other web sites.

I tend to take on more than I can handle and that’s what happened after I used Squidoo for a few months. As a result I kind of let Squidoo slide.

I guess now that you reminded me about Squidoo I better get a few more lenses updated and start creating a few more to get more traffic to my new hobby blogs.

  6. I used to use Squidoo to try and bring more traffic to my site but it never really payed off that much so I have stopped recently. But after seeing this post and some of the comments, I might start it back up again and see what I get. Thanks guys :)

Many of the folks mentioned in the comments have been great inspirations.

I’ve been using Squidoo for what seems like forever. My first lenses helped drive traffic to my eBay store. After I joined ebay and other affiliate programs, I incorporated affiliate links/banners into my Squidoo lenses where appropriate. I stopped using Squidoo’s ebay modules and instead created eBay RSS feeds using my campaign IDs so that I don’t have to share revenue with Squidoo for eBay sales.

I’ve set up Squidoo lenses that support my niche stores; as soon as I create a domain name for a niche store I start a lens using the same name, if not already taken. Squidoo has been a good way to drive traffic to my stores, and I’m always pleased to earn some revenue directly from the lenses themselves. It’s a great resource, and I’ve written about it in my blog. It’ll be a piece of cake for you Rochele!
