So very true. I almost hate for it to sleep, though, as the screensavers are amazing. I never used screensavers on my PC but the ones on my Mac are simply breath taking!

We bought our first Mac earlier this year, and it is incredible how much more smoothly and quickly everything runs. Ours is a Macbook, and it almost instantly comes “awake” from hibernating, much faster than a PC notebook. Everything is so artfully done on the Mac, you can’t help but appreciate it.

Honestly, the opposite is true for loading with my PC and my girlfriend’s Mac. I guess it just depends what you have starting up with it. I purposely try to limit that stuff.

But either way, I’m glad you like your computer .

Congratulations! It is the same with my husband’s PC and my Mac. We can start up at the same time, and I can get in, open a couple applications, create and save a file, print it, while on his machine, Windows will still be loading. I don’t know how he can stand it!

I can’t say that I’ve never had problems with my Mac, but it works beautifully 99.9% of the time and is WELL worth the .1% that it has a hiccup.

Advice: Just have fun!

Congrats on your new Mac. I have an old IMac which still has my Photoshop on it as well as 2 newer PC’s. I came close to getting another one this last time around, but had to make an emergency purchase.

Welcome back Rochelle! We’ve missed you!

I’ve never owned a MAC, but have friends and family who wouldn’t own anything else. I’ve thought about getting a MAC when my current setup dies because every time I have a problem, they all say “that would never happen on a MAC”!!

I am so very impressed with the Mac. I’m so used to having to wait about five minutes after I turn on my Windows system for everything to fully load before I open any programs. With the Mac, once it is on, it is on and ready to go.

I’m amazed at how easy it is to access the guts of the machine. I purchased additional memory and installing it was a breeze. Some of my Windows machines were so snug that I could barely add more memory. Installing additional hard drives was just as simple. I can’t believe that there are no Windows makers following Mac’s lead on this stuff.
