Sorry, I didn’t check my reply to make sure the code took. I’ll write up a post on how to move the store or site navigation sidebars to either side in the next few days.

Regarding splitting up categories, I’ve also thought of doing that, but it would be rather difficult to achieve, though not impossible. No, pages created under either the store or content tabs will not be automatically added to your new category headers. You will have to add them yourself.

I’ve not done it but what I think you would need to do is create your store pages and then hide them all. Add your additional category headers in your header or footer. Then you will need to add links under each new header following these instructions: http://www.nichestorestrategie.....s-sidebar/

If any page you link to has subcategories I think you will have to add links to them, although I don’t know what will happen if you don’t hide the links for the subcategories.

I was thinking of spliting the products and information i.e. products on the left side and information on the right, or vice versa.

I was also thinking about sub-dividing the products So, for example, you might have your products organized into several categories eg brand, model, price, size etc depending on your niche. I don’t know whether there would be an issue with pulling the products from ebay, but I’m sure I could make the store navigation more user friendly. I have a couple of sites where the list of products on the left-hand side is getting rather long!

Did you post the code above, as it is not showing? I have found the relevant section in the header.php and footer.php, but is it just a question of copying the code where I want the new navigation bar to be and, obviously, renaming the header title? I’m not sure how much of the code to copy.

At the moment, in the Admin section of the site, we can create store pages or content pages and this determines the navigation heading they appear under. Presumably, this new code creates a new section?

Do you know how to put extra navigation headings in the side bars, both on the left and right hand sides? I think dividing the content into more manageable sections can make it easier for visitors to quickly navigate a site.
