How to Use USFreeads to Promote Your Sites

RochelleHow To..., Site Promotion, Strategies

USFreeads is an excellent tool to get backlinks and traffic for your niche stores. You can safely use USFreeads as doing so is allowed by both eBay’s and Commission Junctions TOS.

One of the best things about creating ads with USFreeads is that Google will index your site quickly because they index USFreeads constantly! Your USFreeads will show up in search engine results, so it is important to use keyword rich phrases and terms in your ad titles and descriptions.

There are two ways I will describe on how to use USFreeads to promote your niche stores:

How to send ad viewers to items similar to what you advertise on USFreeads
Viewers will be sent to the store page where the advertised item is located but not to the item itself. This is easier for you to do but may confuse visitors expecting to see the item from your ad.
How to send ad viewers to the actual items you advertise on USFreeads
Follow these instructions to have USFreeads visitors sent to a content page in your store where you will display specific auction items.

This method requires a little more work on your part but may be less confusing because visitors will be taken to a page on your niche store that shows all your advertised items, including the one they came from USFreeads to see.

If you would like ideas on how to create ads for USFreeads then please read my post at How to Write Ads for USFreeads.

USFreeads has three different memberships: free, gold, and premium. Here is a table listing the differences between these three memberships:

Hi Rochelle, am curious if you feel the Gold membership is sufficient for those of us who have a limited number of stores at this time? With Gold, I notice you can run 25 ads at one time. That tells me I could, for example, advertise 25 BANS stores using 1 ad per store (store product specific), would you agree? I’m trying to keep my administrative costs minimal until I start to see significant sales.

    Javanut,

Well, that’s hard to answer because I can only speak for myself. But I prefer the premium membership. Why? Because of the unlimited ads. My goal is to have ads for all top-level categories in each of my stores, then continue with subcategories, and so on. One store would alone easily reach 25 ads using this method.

But if finances are a concern for you then maybe you would want to start with the gold membership and move up if you start to make money. But you will probably find that the more BANS stores you have the better the premium membership will become.

    Hi Rochelle:

Have you found out approximately how many extra visitors you are getting by using US Freeads? By the sound of things(the amount of ads that you are writing), you must consider this a very important tool. Thanks!

    John,

No, I haven’t been tracking visitors from USFreeads. It’s not too hard to do (I believe we can each see this from our cPanel stats) but I haven’t taken the time to do it.

Yes, I consider USFreeads an important tool but I haven’t created as many ads as I should or as many as I intend to. My goal is to have a minimum of two ads for every niche store I have. Sadly, I’ve fallen way short of this goal.

In all honesty I haven’t been organized in how I’ve been creating stores, which is why I created the checklist. Now that I’ve documented every store in my checklist and can see which of my stores have USFreeads and which don’t, I will set aside time to create ads for each store that doesn’t yet have them.

    Hi Rochelle,

“USFreeads is an excellent tool to get backlinks”

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, bit the links in USFreeads are nofollow. They do not create backlinks.

    Doreen,

You are right. Thank you for correcting me on this.
