I Will Be Quiet For a While

Rochelle in Several of you have either sent me private emails, or have posted on the website, and are currently waiting for me to respond. I sincerely regret that I haven’t done so yet, but I want to let you know the reason for my silence. I have been able to let some of you know what’s going on, but not all. It is not that I am ignoring any of you, or don’t want to answer. It’s just that taking care of my daughter has taken up all my time right now.
Last week my youngest daughter came down with pneumonia and was out of school the entire week. Things took a turn for the worse on Friday, and she was admitted to the hospital. Being in the hospital has been exactly what she needed, but we don’t know how long she will be here. I am staying with her at the hospital, which is where I am right now (for the record, the time is now 4:32 am, and sleep just isn’t coming -- who knew that guest beds in hospitals were so very uncomfortable, or that the beeping of my daughter’s respiratory monitor is as loud as it is in the wee hours of the night…). I will stay here with her until she’s ready to come home.
My purpose in sharing is simply to let you know that my focus and attention is elsewhere right now, and that I will answer the questions that have been asked as soon as my daughter is home and doing better. I appreciate the trust that is put in me with the questions that have been asked, and look forward to answering them in the coming days (but, please don’t hold me to a specific timeframe).
I sincerely hope that this post finds each and every one of you in good health.

You have my warmest wishes, I hope your daughter makes a fast and speedy recovery as I am sure she will. Make sure you try and get some rest yourself as well.

I hope that your daughter makes a fast recovery. I know how worrying it is when a child falls ill, but as Mark said, with the love and care she is getting I’m sure she will be back on hr feet in no time.

I’m praying for your daughter.
I remember when my one year old son was in the hospital for 5 days with croup and pneumonia. I was with him the whole time (but without computer). It was an emergency situation when we took him to the hospital in the middle of the night leaving two children asleep at home. Everything turned out OK…he’s 22 now and such a sweetie.

You and your family are in my prayers and wish your daughter a speedy recovery. I have my sister in the hospital and it certainly makes you stop and rethink a lot of things but I also know id rather have her in there under their watchful eye.
