It has been little more than 24 hours since I started testing 30 Minute Backlinks on three brand new sites. I won’t give updates each day but initially I will update more often just to show the results.

I’m not surprised to see that site #3 has the most backlinks since that site’s toolbar got the maximum promotion. What did surprise me is that site #1, the site with the least promotion for its toolbar, currently has the most pages indexed in Google. It is, however, much to early to come to any conclusions.
My next update on this will be in a day or two.

Exactly what is this thing? You build software, and somehow you get links from it? I don’t understand…
Rochelle is using Michelle MacPhearson’s 30 minute backlink’s tutorial to build toolbars for her sites. Rochelle shouldn’t give away too much information from the tutorial other than to explain if it works or not because Michelle is charging for the information. If it works, then I suggest we all purchase a copy and use it as part of the promotion for our sites.
My understanding is you build a toolbar that has links to your BANS site built in.
You then submit the toolbar to software directories.
People download it off the directories and use the toolbar to look for items. Of course the toolbar directs them to your site to purchase the items.
Are the backlinks coming from the software directories or from people actually using the toolbar?
Great test Rochelle and thanks for the updates. I’m watching and learning - Jamie
Alice,
Paul is correct. The 30 Minute Backlinks method is a way of creating software tools related to your site’s niche and promoting the software. In this case I created toolbars. Paul is also correct that I will not explain how to do this because that is what the 30 Minute Backlinks method does. I don’t want to take any of Michelle’s secrets and share them.
I realize it is a bit tough to grasp what I’m doing when I’m not telling you exactly but the point of this test is to see the effectiveness, not the exact method. I’m doing this for myself but also for readers who might be interested in the 30 Minute Backlinks but have been unsure about purchasing it.
If you have any other general questions about this please let me know and I’ll do my best to answer them.

To clarify, the point of the software created using 30 Minute Backlinks really isn’t to have people use them, though I build mine with that possibility. The point is the way the tools are promoted that gets backlinks to a specific website. It’s quite clever what Michelle is doing and it is all legitimate (in other words, this isn’t black hat SEO).
To date I’ve had about 20 people install the toolbars I’ve created, which is a much higher number than I would have guessed. I’m delighted that it is being downloaded but I have no idea if people are simply curious about it and uninstall it right away, or if they are actually using it and like it.
So, my advice to anyone who does use this method is to create the toolbar, or any of the other tools, as though people will actually use them. You never know when you will create a hot item that people will want to use and tell others about.
