Yesterday some wrote that she was having a hard time working with the HTML code that is included in the NIWAY guide for creating page templates. Today I found an online HTML editor that will make it easier to work with this code.
You can access this editor by visiting http://www.online-html-editor.de/.
Using this online editor is very similar to using the HTML editor that is included with BANS. That being said, I will show you the basics that will help you use the template code:
First, you need to copy the HTML code you want to edit from the N1WAY into the editor. To do this, click the <> link:

This will open a new window where you will paste your code, then click ‘OK’:

Click on the first image to highlight it, then click the Image link:

A new window will open where you will enter the URL location of the image you are using, Title of image, align left, then click ‘OK’ (you may need to close this window when done):

Change ‘Product Name’ to whatever your product’s name is. Highlight (double-click) the ‘Product Name’ link (or whatever you changed this to), then click the Link link and click ‘OK’:

Enter the URL location for the product page/post, and name of product, then click ‘Insert’:

The template code you paste into the editor will be good for just two products. Chances are, you will need to add several rows for however many products you have for your table.
To add more rows, click the ‘Edit Table’ link, then choose ‘Table Size’:

Add more rows (the rows will be added either above or below the row your mouse is currently in), then close the window:

Copy the contents from one row into the new rows you created, then repeat the above steps.
Now that you have edited your template, you need to paste it into your niche store. You can either re-open the HTML editor (see step one above) so you can copy the code and paste it into your niche store, or you can save the code to your computer. Either will work, but I suggest you save the code to your computer. This way, you can return to the online HTML editor and paste your modified template into the editor, which will save you a few steps the next time you want to work on the template.
I hope this is helpful to those of you who have struggled with the template code found in N1WAY. If you have another way of editing the code that might help others, please share.

Hi Rochelle
thank you for posting that, it does help. However
… it wasn’t that bit that I was in trouble with, it was the arthemia template for wp. I simply cannot work out how to change the look of it, re showing only 1 sidebar, not 2, not having a drop down at the top, getting rid or the middle bar – the list goes on!
thanks
Cherie,
Ah, it was a misunderstanding based on terminology. To clarify, arthemia is a theme, not a template. Please know I am not calling you out. There are so many terms when it comes to Internet Marketing that I’m clarifying so that this type of misunderstanding doesn’t happen again in the future.
I am not familiar with the arthemia theme, so am unable to offer advice. Is that the theme being used by Adam and Kelvin on their example site?
You might try a different theme and see if that corrects the problems you are experiencing. Also, it could be that one or more of your plugins is causing this. To find out if that is the case, deactivate all your plugins, then check your site. If it looks like you want it to, then start activating plugins, one at a time and checking your site after each plugin is activated (you will need to refresh your browser after each time). This will allow you to find the problem plugin.
Good luck,
Rochelle
Cherie,
I just found out that Mark from http://www.thenichestorebuilder.com uses the Arthemia theme and will be writing a post on how to use it some time next week. He will probably cover the topics that you are having troubles with. If you haven’t already, I recommend that you subscribe to his RSS feed so you don’t miss his post.

Thanks so much for that info, really has helped. In the meantime I’ve been using another theme from dailyblogtips.com which is similar to arthemia but not as complicated. I would however, rather use the arthemia theme.
I have now hit a bit of a snag, somehow I’ve ended up with 2 home pages and don’t know how to sort it out, you wouldn’t happen to know would you?
Cherie
Cherie,
Would you please expand on what you mean by two home pages? I’m not sure what you mean. If you prefer, you can send me an email with the link to your site that is experiencing this problem. However, I am not at home right now and won’t be able to view the site for a few days. My girls and I are currently recharging our batteries at the beach before school starts next week.
