Remove Google AdSense Ads from Your BANS Stores

RochelleStrategies

If you are a reader of Mark’s ‘The Niche Store Builder’ blog then you have already been alerted to the potential danger of mixing Build A Niche Stores with Google AdSense.  If you haven’t, then I strongly suggest you read what Mark has to say about this on his post called, “Don’t Use AdSense on BANS Sites.”

After reading Mark’s post I removed all AdSense ads from my niche stores.  Leaving AdSense ads on your niche stores means you risk having your sites deindexed.

The mighty GOOG clipped my adsense wings a year or two ago already and I’ve been trying to get it back ever since but maybe now I should thank Google for doing this because my BANS sites aren’t getting deindexed. I never got a real answer as to why they did this but I was only making a few bucks each month from it anyways. Someone suggested that this is the reason and Google was cleaning up “hardly profitable” accounts and give some b-sht reason. I Love Google but it truely scares me to no end they are so big and mighty… I guess Mark can tell you more about that though. Things that make you go hmm…

From my experience, the risk is not worth the reward. The income from adsense was nice but it was only a very small percentage of the overall income generated from my bans sites. So to risk total loss of a site over a a trickle of income would be crazy.

    My 2 cents,
    Jamie

I no longer use AdSense ads on my BANS sites so my answer is BANS. AdSense may be a good earner for some but I’ve yet to have a site that makes more than a few cents a day with AdSense.

Do you mean for choosing an advertiser or for the store I create?

How do you choose the niche for BANS?

    Happy,

That’s a topic that is too big for me to give a good answer to in these comments, and I’ve not written about this in my blog (at least, not that I remember).

Basically, you want to find a niche that has as little competition as possible but will also bring in decent commissions. I stay away from niches that bring in just a few cents per sale.

A good source for finding out how to determine competition can be found at Michelle MacPhearson’s ‘30 Minute Backlinks’ website (http://nichestorestrategies.com/go/30-Minute-Backlinks). Scroll down and sign up for her free tips. After you do you will get about five emails (spread over several days) that tells you about doing keyword research. Part of this is about determining competition. It’s really excellent information and it’s free.

You can also check out Mark’s blog at http://www.thenichestorebuilder.com, as he also has information about choosing a niche.

    I hope this helps,

    Rochelle

I don’t think that AdSense is a cause of banning of sites. More likely thing is using of direct eBay links. I note that Google does not like eBay…

Even BANS sites without adsense are getting deindexed now.
