Hi Rochelle.

I’m glad to hear your daughter is on the mend. I’ve been there, and it’s no fun at all. Watching your child be seriously ill is one of the really hard things we parents have to go through.

My car died not too long ago, so I commiserate with you on that. It sounds as though yours might be fixable – I wasn’t so lucky and am on the prowl for a used vehicle. There are far fewer of those around these days as a result of the cash fo clunkers program.

Hang in there, and DO remember to take care of yourself!

When the Home page was clicked, visitors were sent to a post page instead of the Home page.This is the second time this happened to me today, as this also occurred on one of my other sites, so I knew what to do. But I figured I’d share here, as this might happen to any of you, too.Among my many plugins is WP-Cache. I had to go into the settings for this plugin and delete the cache. This corrected the problem. I admit upfront that I am clueless about the cache and what it does, I just know that when it is too full, funny things can happen to a site.I suspect that one of my plugins may be overloading the cache. Unfortunately, I don’t know which one might be causing me grief. [...]

Thanks for all the kind words. As of right now (Sunday afternoon), I finally think my daughter has turned the corner for the better. She’s playing the Wii and singing to herself. It’s a far cry from even just this morning.

@Mark – Would you suggest I try adding fluid and driving it, or having it towed to the dealership to see if there was damage, as I suspect this may be due to something they did (or didn’t do) the week prior when it was there?

Hey Rochelle – In my 25 things about me post, I never did mention that I have built cars from the ground up, and broken, upgraded, or fixed almost every part on a car you can think of!

If the trans was dry… your engine will be fine since they are two separate functions. You may have burned a few bands inside the trans, but only time will tell.

Fill it up with trans fluid and see if it drives. If yes, put a piece of cardboard under your car at night, so you can pinpoint exactly if and where its leaking from.

Rochelle- Sorry to hear about your daughter, I hope evrything is ok soon. It is hard to see a kid struggle with sickness makes you feel helpless, and doctors seem to almost be as if were nothing most of the time. With all that was going on I would be freaking out too,(I hate Car Problems) too many weights to carry sometimes…Good Luck

Re: My car, I don’t exactly know yet, but I have a good idea. Last week my car stopped engaging in any gear but 1st, so I immediately took it to the dealership. They said a fuse had gone out and replaced it.

Last night, the two men who pushed my car into a parking spot said they popped the hood and found that the transmission fluid was completely dry. So, why was it dry? I don’t know. It is entirely possible that I burned my car’s motor by driving it last night. On the bright side, I am still grateful to have actually made it to the hospital.

Whew… I saw your post title and had to come a reading! I’m glad to hear you recognized the need to run her to the hospital, and that its something at least manageable!

Kim and I can definitely relate to this…

Friends are one of the most valuable resources a person has, on both the giving and needing side of it! I can count on one hand, how many of my friends I absolutely KNOW I can count on in a bind, and the same goes the other if they ever needed ANYTHING, they know they could count on me!!

So… what happened to the car? Is it terminal, or just something that can easily be fixed?
