Thank You for Your Well Wishes

You have no idea how touching it is to see all your kind words and positive thoughts.  I sincerely thank all of you.

We just got back from visiting our house this morning.  The water has mostly receded from our home, but we still can’t drive on our street.  In the house the water was up to about a foot high at it’s highest point.

The most disgusting aspect of this is that the water is contaminated with sewage.  It smells like a porta potty in our home, and that’s just after one day.  It will certainly get worse as the days pass.

Now we begin the cleanup and recovery process.  We are leaving in a few minutes to go back and begin doing what we need to do.

Rochelle

    Rochelle,

I’m so sorry about your ordeal. We’ll keep sending good vibes your way and hope it all clears (and cleans!) up soon for you.

If any members of the press come around trying to get stories from you “Katrina 2″ victims, tell them that thanks to eBay’s axing all of their affiliates you have no money to clean and repair your home and that you and your 8 hungry children and your elderly parents and grandparents will all be out on the street… ;)

Too bad the Katrina trailers are still being used – at least they might have provided SOME shelter. LOL!

As one that propsoed to my wife in 1989 in Charleston, SC before HUGO came through I can id with you to an extent. The devastation after that was tremendous. Our prayers go out to you and will be sending a donation. I pray all out there come out of this well and have God’s best on them.

I am so sorry to hear about the damage to your home, but I am glad to hear you, you family, and your cats are safe. That is the most important thing, the rest is just stuff…

We will keep you in our prayers.

I completely understand your situation. We lost part of our home earlier this year in a tornado in Minnesota. We were fortunately but the tornado eliminated the town next door. We grew much closer as a family and with our neighbors as a result. My suggestion is when people offer help take it it only comes out of love and caring.

    I wish you the best.

I am so sorry to hear about your flooding situation, but I am glad you and your family are ok. Hopefully you can get your hous and cars cleaned up before too much other damage can happen. That is alot of work in itself. But you are no stranger to hard work and surviving. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours…Otis

    Hi Rochelle,

I just read about your predicament. I have been away from the forum trying to concentrate on doing some tweaking for my sites.

I truly feel for you having to leave home and coming back having to do the clean up. I hope you are coping well. My thoughts are with you and your family.
