In my previous post I mentioned that I had purchased the new BANS Guide (aka The Number 1 Way to Make Money Online) but said I hadn’t read it yet. Throughout the day yesterday I was reading it, and have gotten up to section 4. Section 4 is about how Adam and Kelvin actually build their sites and they included their methods for building both BANS and WordPress sites.
My nine-year-old daughter wants her own site so we did the research on the topic she wanted and found it to be a potentially good niche. But, I hadn’t built the site, as I was a bit unsure how to organize it or add content to it.
During the reading of the BANS Guide, a light-bulb went off and I followed their method. I just want to share that their method for building sites is one I haven’t thought of or seen before, but it made building the site very easy. Plus, I agree with what they said about not having to work too hard at adding content if you follow their philosophy. The site I am building isn’t really conducive to writing article about, but using the info from this guide is making content adding very easy.
I might have mentioned in my previous post that I wasn’t going to buy this guide. But, honestly, I learned something that I think will prove to be of value as I build more sites. Purchasing the BANS Guide proved timely, as the method used is helping me create my daughter’s site by helping me get past my uncertainty on how to proceed with the site.
It seems that not many of you have purchased this yet, but if you have, I really love to know what you think of the site building method Adam and Kelvin lay out in their BANS Guide.
Hi Rochelle
I agree with you, structuring sites this way hadn’t completely occurred to me before, I have built many review sites but my whole thought process has changed in a way from reading it.
I am in the process of adapting my current experimental BANS site build to fit in with the guide and so far it’s coming along very well.

hey rochelle ~ glad to hear you’re enjoying the guide … i’m trying to read as much as possible without ignoring my kids this weekend LOL … I want to ramp up my portfolio this year and i’m sure this will help a great deal. my 13 year old will be using these methods too … it’s fun to hear you’re helping your daughter with her sites too. austin and i are thinking of having a friendly competition just to motivate ourselves to really dig in … i’ll keep you posted. *huGs* suzanne
I hear you about not ignoring the kids! On top of trying to read the guide, I’m also working my job (which is a work-at-home job that I can do when I get the chance, as long as there is work to be done). But, I’m pleased to say that I have played one game of Pokemon with my younger daughter today and will probably play a game with the older one later.
It’s great to hear that your son is also getting involved. My daughter is only nine, so I am making the store for her, but she came up with the idea and I explained what I was doing when I researched the niche. I’d love for her to be able to do this on her own when she’s a bit older. She knows that the money she earns from this will be put into savings for when she is older.
Now, my seven-year-old wants her own store, too! I don’t have enough time to work on my store these days, let alone build theirs! But, I’m all for them getting involved with what I’ve been doing. Now, if I can just finish up with the flood repairs, I’ll have quite a bit more free time (soon, I keep telling myself, soon the repairs will be done…).

What is it about BANS that attracts kids? My 12 year old is about to adopt a site that I started and then realised that I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the subject (and no matter how much reading I do, I just don’t get it!) My boy, on the other hand loves it, and can tell you the biography of each and every creature. I’m just showing him other ways to milk the site and how to market it and away he goes. I’m off to to buy the guide now. Thanks Rochelle
Dave….
Dave,
I have an idea of what your site’s niche is. If it’s what I think it is, my daughter REALLY wanted to get into that niche, but I discouraged it after doing research. But, if I’m correct, it is the perfect niche for a boy your son’s age. Good luck to him with it!
After you get the guide, please share your thoughts, good, bad, or otherwise.
Rochelle
