Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you all had a safe and fun New Year’s Eve. Mine was nice and quiet, spent at home with my family.
I spent the first day of 2010 working on getting organized. I (finally!) set up reminders in my calendar for all matter of things. While I didn’t specifically write down any goals, I added the steps I need to achieve my goals in my calendar. For example, my computer room is a total mess. I added a reminder to work on it for just 10 minutes or so each day. It took me a while to get it this messy, and it seems overwhelming to organize it. But, if I tackle it in little chunks each day, it will be done before I know it.
The same is true for my Internet Marketing projects. I am thrilled to have found the Commission Ritual, for it teaches a very simple way to research and build affiliate sites. But, I admit, I went a bit overboard on creating sites in November. I created waaaaaay too many sites!
My goal for 2010, in regards to sites, is to build 10 each month. I initially thought I could do 10 a week, but that is unrealistic. If I do more than 10, great! But, I want to focus on just 10, and do them the right way. Earlier today I finished created a spreadsheet where I will keep track of the sites I build each month, so I will know how close I am to meeting my goal each month.
This year will be all about being organized for me. I am highly organized in some ways of my life, but in other areas, I seem hopelessly disorganized. I’m changing that, though, by taking small steps each day, such as described above.
Another area where I’m getting organized is with my PLR articles. I have literally thousands of them, and they are really hard to organize. If I want to find an article on a particular subject, I have to look through many different files, which takes too much of my highly valuable time.
Well, yesterday, I purchased a program that will soon organize my PLR articles for me. James J. Jones, the creator of Micro Niche Finder (a program that I use as much as Market Samurai for keyword research), has recently released a new product called the Ultimate PLR Article Software. The software comes with over 27,000 PLR articles, which is nice in and of itself. But what I’m really excited about is that a future release will allow me to import my own articles into the software. Once this is done, searching for articles will be simple.
If you have your own PLR articles sitting on your computer’s hard drive, I encourage you to purchase the Ultimate PLR Article Software now. As of this writing, it is only $14.99, which free upgrades/updates for life. If any of you have Micro Niche Finder, then you already know that James J. Jones has released MANY updates and turned that software into an awesome product. James has said there are several new features that will be added in the coming days, though the only feature he has specified is the ability to add your own PLR articles. Personally, I think $14.99 is a great price to pay for that one feature alone.
The price WILL go up to $39.99 on 01/11/2010, so get it now, while it is at such a low price. And, I feel confident that James will periodically raise the price above the $39.99 price, just as he has done with Micro Niche Finder (apparently, that software was also initially released at $14.99!).
For those of you who have PLR articles, I’d love to hear how you use them. They can be great tools, when used creatively. What do you do with them?
Hi Rochelle,
Happy new year to you, I hope you had a great break.
I know the feeling, I did all my ‘tidying’ in the last few days before I came back to work. Sometimes it’s just easy to let the days pass you by and before you know it…..well it’s 2010
.
I am going to give the CR method a go over the next couple of days, purely out of curiosity for a month and see how it goes. Have you seen reasonable results with it so far?

Ben´s last blog ..Happy New Year – Goals For 2010!
@Ben,
I did a check of how much I earned from my Commission Ritual sites once 2009 ended. Keep in mind that I built my Christmas sites much too late to really do much, but I knew that going into them. I earned a total of $162 from my Christmas sites, which includes Google AdSense, eBay, and Amazon. I’m thrilled by that, since I didn’t finish most of them until just a week or two before Christmas (like I wrote above, I went a bit overboard on sites).
The best part of my Christmas sites is that there was almost no site promotion done. That’s part of the CR method, and it is so nice to not have to massage site after site for backlinks.
Interestingly, I am STILL earning from AdSense on my Christmas sites. Not much, mind you, but the sites are still being visited and people are still clicking.
My focus, now, will be on sites that are not seasonal. I will still make more holiday-focused sites, but most of my sites will be ones that are visited year-round.
I might also try to mix in the N1WAY Guide method with the CR method, just to see how that goes. It would be for sites where makers are searched for along with a generic term, such as Canon digital camera. I don’t want to register a domain with a trademark or company name in it, but I can add it that way.
As I said above, I’ll work to create 10 new sites a month. Once I have met that goal, I can then add pages to some of the sites, ala N1WAY Guide. Or, if I run out of time, I can leave them as is, ala CR. It’s a win/win for me, regardless of which way I might go.
I’d love to know what you think of CR, so please share your thoughts after you poke around.

Congrats on the organizing Rochelle!! I have done quite a bit myself over the last 2 weeks of 09 and right into the new Year. New Years Eve was pretty much the same for Kim and I also, we had a safe night of movies, junk food, cocktails and each other! That was it… the kids were all out at parties, so it was nice and quiet for us.
Glad to hear CR is working as well!! I have not tried it, but if you continue to get great results, I may just join in to see how it would work for me!
Congrats again, looking forward to hearing more about the results.

@Mark,
CR is COMPLETELY different than what you’ve been doing up to this point. I’d love to get your take on it. It’s much more focused on quantity, but that is not to say that the sites are of poor quality. When done right, they are high quality sites.
Some people have a hard time with the concept. They try to make it more difficult than it really is, simply because they are used to site building requiring more effort.
Rochelle
@Rochelle –
That’s excellent it sounds like it’s really working out for you then, I’ve gone through quite a lot of the non-affiliate/promotional videos online and the results people are seeing are promising. I’m always looking for new ways to build sites/monetize sites.
I’ve pencilled it into my ‘to do’ list for tomorrow afternoon, so I’ll get signed up and let you know my thoughts once I’ve had a mooch around
.
@Mark – I made sure to celebrate your new year as well Mark

@Ben,
If/When you do purchase CR, I strongly encourage you to watch all the videos. Brian has a PDF that supplements the material covered by the videos, and I initially just read the PDF. That was a mistake, as the real meat of the course is in the videos. Just an FYI.
Rochelle
@Rochelle – Thanks for the heads up on that, I’ll make sure to watch the videos thoroughly. This is something I’m sometimes guilty of not doing.

Hi Rochelle,
I just wanted to let you know that I have been working my way through the CR blueprint, I’ve managed to read a good chunk of the eBook provided and I’m now up to chapter 6 if I remember correctly and so far so good.
A lot of it makes perfect sense and what I like about it is that Brian Johnson is SO clear in the site building process. I was stopping and starting the videos last night and looking at different search phrases at the same time and I found a good few niches which would be very easy to target. So far it’s pretty good. I’ll let you know my thoughts when I’ve gone through it completely.

Ben,
I’m glad to hear it is making sense for you. That was exactly what I thought when I was first introduced to this method in a webinar I saw. It just made sense.
Keep me posted as you continue to learn the method.
I just bought ten domains yesterday and already have one of them almost finished.
Rochelle
Michelle-
Thank you for the info on commission ritual.
I do have one question. Which one is better for someone just starting out (my GF) CR or Crowd Mountain?
Thanks

Terry,

If you have additional questions, please feel free to ask.

Hi Rochelle,
That’s an impressive arsenal of tools to use. I use and love Market Samurai.
I’m curious, how do you plan to integrate the Ultimate PLR Article Software with the Commission Ritual?
Thanks,
Steve
Steve,
Market Samurai is awesome! I had all but forgotten about Micro Niche Finder, but it, too, is an awesome tool. The two compliment each other in many ways.
I doubt that I will integrate the Ultimate PLR Article Software with the CR method. Most PLR articles are crap. But, they do have their place, if used properly.
Honestly, I use PLR articles for ideas. Having access to tens of thousands of articles pretty much assures me that I can find an article on just about any niche I want to write about, then I use the article as a jumping board to my own article. Does that make sense?
Rochelle
Makes sense. I haven’t looked at the CR method yet, but it sounded like it did not depend on using articles much. So, I just wanted to clarify.
As far as using PLR articles for ideas: absolutely. All it takes is just one keyword from an article to get you researching a niche that you had not thought of before.
For now, I like to go to the book store and spend time browsing the covers of magazines. I figure: the content is current, and if the magazine is willing to publish the content, people must be interested in it now. Did you know there is more than one magazine that supports the Outdoor Model Railroading hobby?

Happy New Year Rochelle,
Man what an feverish ending to 2009 with CR. It was cute to see that we ended up having a few sites with similar domains.
CR definitely seem to work for me when I stopped checking my indexing status and moved on to build the next site.
I bought 10-12 domains between Nov. and Dec. and only built 4 niche sites. I made close to $80 in Adsense in December and am close to having the same results this month due to the seasonal nature of my best clicked Adsense site just on those CR sites alone. Only scored $16 in Amazon commission in December from these 4 sites.
Like you, I plan to combine CR with something that has worked for me this past holiday for more evergreen subjects. I have two sites in the same niche that are Keyword Academy type sites (high cpc – evergreen topic) that do well each month.
I like combining CR and XFactor’s Micro Niche Adsense Course. This appears to be a winning combination for me.
Coming up with lucrative niche ideas that people are actually looking to buy items for seems to come pretty easy for me. I will focus most of my energy this new year on investing in buying original articles for new sites as a part of my niche building process.
Cheers!
