Ok, I don’t normally add posts like the one I am doing now but I have a very short window of time before I lose out on a great opportunity.  Although I am making a shameless public plea to get people to join a new web site I promise I will follow up and give my experience with this web site.

 So, what is it?  Today I joined a site called Qassia.  I’m still in the learning stages of the site but it looks like it has great possibilities for gaining backlinks and site traffic.  You join, add your web sites, and even articles if you want.  It looks like it will be a good place to do this.

The reason I’m promoting something I don’t fully know about yet is because I have a 12-hour window from the time I join them to get as many referrals as possible.  Each referral I get within this time frame will earn me 5x the normal referral reward.  If you join now (before ~3:30 am EST on 03/08/2008) then I earn $500 Qassia bucks instead of the normal $100 (no, this isn’t real money, only money that can be used on the Qassia web site).

Here is why I think this web site shows great promise for our niche stores.  They encourage users to post articles (what they call ‘Intel‘) and then each article is rated anonymously by ten other site members.  The articles are rated before any weight is assigned to the articles.  This will help keep crap articles from being added.

What I will do within the next week or so is write articles that relate to my stores and add links to my stores at the end of each article.  Then I will submit them to Qassia.  I’ll follow up on how this goes or if anything even happens.
